Er ist Internist, Gastroenterologe, Hämato-Onkologe und arbeitet als ärztlicher Direktor und Zentrumsleiter in einem großen kommunalen Krankenhaus.

Seine Schwerpunkte sind die Wechselwirkung zwischen Körper und Geist. Das wissenschaftliche Verstehen der Wirkung der Meditation und die Wirkung von Zen auf die Gesundheit.
